    Cheer Cheer.

I had a thought last night but I decided not to post it but Ive had another change of mind. just putting the idea out there.

this is an event Id like to remember, but its not like a ride on a saturday morning or something its a weeknight. so um. a txt ring?
IE. I txt 2 people. those 2 txt two more and so on until everyone is reminded.
    it would be optional.
fuck Im on contract. ill do everyone (assuming someone reminds me)

so the deal is. If you want a text the night before the spanner evening then PM me either here or pyrocam.com and Ill text you the night before (or if its close enough the weekend before cos its free)
Im vodafone but I dont mind txting you dirty telecomies if your on that network

all I need now is a date to set the alarm on my phone on so I dont forget.

Frosty's comments notwithstanding, we still appreciate the work our 'committee' does for us!

Additionally, I'd like to give everyone one the site a quick heads-up re the events of 7pm on the 26th of March...

A few of us (3 - literally!) had not been near the 'net for a while, so we turned up for the spanner evening anyway...

I can report that upon the arrival of we few uninformed stragglers, Kerry at Motohaus tore himself away from his nutritious meal, and - completely unprompted and unexpected - proceeded to give up an entire hour of his valuable time educating us with his wealth of bike-related wisdom.

This all took place on the very comfy Motohaus couches, and was further enhanced by Big Dave turning up with his shiny new Kiwi Rider mag, starring himself on the cover - an ideal learning environment if ever there was one! [Why can't university tutorials be like that?]

In this cynical, self-interested age, it is rare to come across someone in business that will give up their own time and facilities to share their knowledge with people they've never met before.

I came away knowing many things, that seem so common sense when you're told them, but which you could never make the leap to by yourself...

    Thanks Kerry, you're a bl**dy legend!

Just as soon as I have coinage to spare [and a bike to spend on ] I'll come and find something I need [or 'need'] to buy from you.

    Ross.

    Yep,Kerry's a good bloke orright.
I was there too(briefly),I swung by on my way elsewhere to make sure there was no-one waiting outside after it was cancelled.....but found Kerry still there even though I'd let him know it was off,on the off chance that some would show.
Couldn't stay long though as the mighty TL was calling.......
