Woo-hooo...the pass is a lock!! Got my brother to baby-sit for us (Not that we want him to sit on our babies), so I'll see you there.

P.S. Remember to bring the paddock stand Frosty!

    Newbie wants to learn stuff

Count me in - so long as ultra-newbies are allowed!?

Sounds like a great way to avoid study for the evening - have some concept of the mechanicals of cars, but bikes are as yet mysterious devices.

Dumb question of the day - is there anything I need to bring apart from myself, and perhaps note taking materials if feeling geeky?

    Cheers,

    THIS THURSDAY HAS BEEN CANCELLED

Just had a call from Frosty to say that it's not worked out for Kerry at Motohaus. The event itself has not been cancelled, just postponed. We shall start a new thread to make things clear.

    CHECK BACK SOON FOR DETAILS.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news..

    Hiya,

Does anyone know what "basics" will be covered at the spanner night?

'basics' will cover the day-to-day things that you need to be aware of. Condition of your chain, tyres and their condition, how to spot problems with various bits.. Don't worry, there will be a fair bit covered, but don't be affraid to ask questions. And it'll be at a 'basic' level, so we won't be pulling engines apart etc.. that's for another night

Frosty has done this once or twice before, so he knows the drill. Just empty a little bit of brain space out, and fill it up on the night..

Awesome, I'm really keen, but will need to look on a map of how to get there (Coming from the North Shore... but not familiar with anywhere other than the Shore and the CBD). I'll confirm early next week if I can make it... also would it be ok if I brought my partner? Oh and does it cost anything?

I'm coming over from the shore too. If you know Barrys Point Road, inbetween the Honda and Suzuki shops is where we normally meet. I think there's a few people coming from the shore, so we can all meet there around 6.15, to leave at 6.30 as we'll still have to navigate a bit of traffic.

    Map.

As for the cost, nothing. Just learn, and don't forget the top bloke who's letting us use his place..

Don't forget, it's now next week, not this..

Yeah I know Barry Pt Rd. Brought my first bike from Cyclespot. Ah... now that I've seen it on the map, it's easy to get there from my work (Freeman's Bay). Sweet, thanks for all your help.

I'll more than likely come along, as I'm keen to learn anything and everything I can about "doing it myself" when it comes to my bike...

bring it, no harm in taking notes! That way, we know what we tell you won't fall out of the brain box on the ride home..

This is the first this year.
Frosty had done some previously, but everyone has been too busy lately. There's been a great increase of newbies to the site and to riding, so it's a good time for a refresh.

Just remember - it's not tonight!!! Don't make me pm everyone... should have done a registration page.. How do you do that? good idea Frosty?
