1984 Suzuki Katana Popup

This is a sad day. I have decided to sell my beautiful Katana.
Reason is I just don't ride it anymore. I was wanting to keep her as they're collectable nowadays but it's a shame to have such a lovely bike not being ridden and loved like it should be.
The Ks counter stopped working a while back at (I think) 81,000. Since then I've done a few Ks more so the 90,000 is an estimate.
She's in beaut condition, custom forest green colour, goes and rides like a dream.

*Edit 08-12-09* Forgot, has Mongoose Alarm with remote fitted too!

The only thing is this:
The bearing on the shaft that the front sprocket is on is wearing out and starting to make a rumbling noise. I've been told it's not such a tough job if you're comfortable cracking the engine open, but I'm not so was quoted about $600 from KG motorcycles in Chch here to do the job.

Other than that she's a sweet bike. NEVER had any issues getting a WOF, apart from when one of the idiots at the testing station dropped it (slowly, only bent the clutch a bit and had some plastic welded) and is a joy to ride.

Been very well looked after by me and the previous owners. A motorcycle cop, a mechanic who only used it for rallies, and me.

She'll keep up with the modern bikes no worries and turn a lot more head than any of them!

I think that anyone with any class would say that's a perfectly fine thing to say about one of these bikes because they're so damn sexy!

I agree completely but I the main reason I don't ride her, other than financial, is that I have some RSI going on in my forearms and the riding position on a sports bike is too hard on them and really sets them off, whereas the BMW is kinda like riding a suped up arm chair it's so comfortable.

But seriously, it is sexy isn't it? (buy it!)
