It's a shame we waste our national day, when I was first in Auz for Australia Day I could not believe it was just people out enjoying their day, and had nothing to do with racial hatred, or complaining. It is just a day for Aussies to get out and enjoy their country.

I know many non Maori who respect waitangi day, acknowledge its meaning. Maori culture and language is a big part of New Zealand history so just harden up and hush the mouth.

The day itself dosnt deserve respect - its nothing - just another day. Sadly the worst of Maoridom come out on it each year and act like savages and idiots. Showing their ass to the Queen, burning the NZ flag etc.

Nothing about me having to harden up - I sit there shaking my head with disbelieve that other maori allows fuckwits like that get on TV - they do more hard to maori in NZ than anyone else.

The previous landlords couldnt survive for themselves, they say there was only a few (they recovered few bones of morie orie there is still little known about them). Maori had politics back then too, the difference is the MP's would actually fight not sit around in offices all day. The leaders tried to stop the english coming and ravaging the land.
