    CBR250R Brake light

    Hey,

My CBR rear brake light isnt working (with the use of the front lever) what should I be looking at to try and fix it? only just noticed it last night - works fine with foot brake.

An easy one this... All early CBR's have the same issue if the switch isn't kept clean.

Look at where the wires go into a little Black box on your front brake leaver and give it a blast with some CRC Contact cleaner. This will blow the dirt out, and also clean up the contacts inside the switch.

Failing this you will need to find a second hand one from somewhere... no guarantee the replacement will work... But that is the problem.

just replaced my front brake switch on cbr250rr, was $48 new from honda took a week to come in from japan, 2 little screws that hold in the black box. its the thing that clicks when you pull on the brake lever and has 2 wires connected to it. be carefull not to break of the spade terminals or the wires
