      "A brief look at the new LED lights during the day, a bit more explained.

      *EDIT* I've now rigged the power to come straight from the battery to the switch. I guess the original BMW fuse is made to only just handle the current draw of the original BMW electrics. I kept popping the fuse for the front pilot light and tail light. Don't want my tail light to not work and not be seen. As my new tail light LEDs are wired into the original ones wiring, they would stop too once the fuse pops."

    Rather than run power from up front. Just use the feed that goes to the tail light.
    Always on when lights on and also controlled by ignition switch.
    Also minimises clutter at steering head

    PS Just re-read your fuse popping. .... Fit a relay would solve your fuse issues and also give you back the control
