I wonder if Rodneys and Hone's recent public floggings are somehow utilized to muzzle dissent. Both ballsy renegades. National Party MP's voting 100% against medical marijuana? Surely those with a conscience have been told how to vote, to block a peoples mandate

Every now and then an MP gets bad press just to remind others they could be next if they start to become willful.

I think this current lot are upping the ante of fear and loathing in Parliament. We are well and trully on the road to a totalitarian hell

Hone spoke out in a completely racist and unacceptable tirade, and went walkabout on official business.

Rodney took his squeeze on a holiday at the Taxpayers expence.

Both deserved a public dressing down.

Has it stopped? Not really, the government periodically helps out their well prospered mates to extract more profit and wealth from our country; the BNZ debacle, the way NZ railways were sold, and so on... ripping us off, then they go and knight the bastards for their efforts.

It really pissed me off, Because I (my Opinion) percieve him to be one of the few who have benefited from the gross multi million dollar payments that succesive Governments have embarked on to appease the supposed native incumbants of our country who were not conquered in an outright sense, but were shafted by a treaty.
As a working blue collar taxpayer, with two kids, a mortgage etc, to have that kind of abuse and slander is too much.

Ya gota wonder at the politics of the Maori Party.

I’ll say from the out set that there should be full partnership support with the new super city council via treaty obligations. Key’s sop to the Maori Party by supporting an independent advisory board was nothing more than face saving due to Hides intransience.

And to lead the charge in getting Maori onto the Super City Council the Maori Party put Harawira to lead it. This is the guy that has upset most of pakeha New Zealand with his insulting utterances. And now Sharples has put this bozo in charge, in an attempt to change the minds not only of the government but pakeha New Zealand as well.
