    Shooting in Warkworth (4 December)

Some of you will have heard the news reports that a woman has been shot dead in Warkworth this afternoon. It is not me, and thankfully is not my daughter, it is however my neighbour.

I have a street full of cop cars at the moment, and crime tape along the front of the house next door. Already had my first visit from the media.

What a friggen horrible thing, a young couple with a baby girl that has just started walking. Her mother is dead and her father in custody. I feel sick!

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I feel for you and all the neighbours.

Not a nice thing to have happened to anyone, and that poor child, now growing up without her mum.

Just another sad story in this world. My thoughts are with you all

I have a friend who was going to see her ex in Warkworth today, and I confess my first thoughts were that he might have flipped out for whatever reason. Glad it's not her, sad for the actual victims.
