I drive an 1995 Opel Omega, great family car being only slightly smaller than a commodore/falcon (proper five adult car) but with a more efficient 3.0L V6, and all the bells and whistles associated with a German car. Problem is they seem to be pretty rare for some reason, which is proving to be a headache atm. Last week the top radiator hose blew, after making a few enquiries, which led to one of the dealers contacting Germany, we found that the hose is now obsolete. I could get a hold of one through a wreckers but I'm a little bit dubious about the idea and at 60+gst its not exactly cheap either.
I'm hoping someone might know of a place that could copy the original hose and make me a new one (peferably chch). Or any other good suggestions.
Before anyone asks I have tried just matching it with another similar hose, but having pulled it off I found that some muppet had decided that designing each end of the hose to be a diff. size was a good idea. Also, I have thought about splicing diff. hoses somehow but its a high pressure system so not so keen.
