    Thumbs up Primo Day

A supreme day by all accounts. Thank you all.

Session 1 - Tucked in behind Brian and follow him for 2-3 laps which really reinforced all the theory that we covered in the track walk and briefing. Managed to put in a few laps and felt how the whole picture kinda clicked together. By the time session one was over I felt quite confident in the bike, the tyres, and taught, yep today things work

Session 2 - Managed to stay mid field at the start which gave me the chance to ride on a clear track front and back, and happily do my own thing. Had a few instructors zip past on the straights and the odd sports bike, but don't count this as traffic as you guys were cone within the next few sectors. Had awesome fun on this session too. Alistair was kind enough to jump in front a few times and show me some stuff that I can do smoother.

Session 3 - In the brake previous to session 3 I was having a chat to Brian regarding ground clearance loss and the roper way to lean off the bike to unload the suspension and hence give me more ground clearance. It was time to put this in to practice. It did work and improved the ground clearance, but due to old habit I found myself returning to the older style of which the right pegs were kindly reminding: "thats not what you were told"....Overall happy with that session, but still need to work on that "lean forward and side wise rather than just side wise" in order to unload the suspension. Believe will get there with practice.

Session 4 - Was some sensational fun. I believe that all riders had increased their skill levels and from where I was sitting everyone seemed to be riding at a pretty nice flowing pace. Was not held up by anyone, nice clean lines. Some more cautious than others but it was great to see everyone concentrating on our adrenaline filled hobby and taking most out of it, while having in mind the safety aspect in mind.

Would like to say Thank You to all my fellow riders in Group 2 who rode predictably and never endangered me on the track, making for a fully trouble free day.

I would like to say a Grateful THANK YOU to AMCC for running such a superb event, and a BIG THANK YOU too to Greg, Alastair, Brian, and Graham for their input, constructive criticism and advice they gave me trough the day, and helping me enjoy myself 100%. And last but not least Angela, Gremlin and the rest of the marshals who looked after us out there. You guys rock !

Hoping to see you all again on the next one in March.

    Thank You.

P.s I have some footage of group 2 session 2 and session 3 which I will be uploading on youtube probably tonight or tomorrow and will post up.

What a day. Talking with instructors at the end of the day we were all buzzed. Instructors in Group 1 & 2 especially couldn't believe how much improvement virtually everyone had made with some of the improvements being quite incredible and huge discussion taking place around who to nominate for most improved riders.

The smiles on the instructors faces and the enthusisasm was very very obvious, it is so obvious to see how much of a buzz they get watching you guys grow bigger smiles and much bigger capabilities.

The feedback from you and your compliments are fantastic, AMCC, Northern accesories and the guys set out to provide you with safe, well run, rider training with a smile. It is soooo satisfiying to get the feedback you guys think we are providing.

Graham was just beaming at the end of the day. Thanks guys.

See you at the next one.

Dunno about these dodgy looking blokes in the Hi-Vis though.......High caliber?
Now your going to have to get yourself out there Qkchk... can't get your smile vicariously like that without wanting to be out there

My second time out on a track, and things are definitely coming together- like those two lefthanders before the hill, theyve merged into one lovely big sweeper now!! Kind of obvious to all the experienced types out there, but a big buzz for a newby like me. My VFR 800 just gets better every day ,and got me home safe to Paihia last night, tired but still buzzing.
Huge thanks to all you good folks from AMCC, including all the blurry people with flags etc. Instructors all great to talk to, but bloody annoyingly quick on supertankers! Thanks again,Matt.
