    Pair praised for inferno rescue

Two men who attempted to rescue a man from an inferno have been praised for their bravery.
Colin Sefton and Saf Hussain tried to save a man who died after his motorbike burst into flames following a crash in Leeds in June last year.

They grabbed an extinguisher from a petrol station and Mr Sefton sprayed foam over the fire while they both pulled the biker away.

On awarding the pair a Royal Humane Society Vellum award, Supt Gerry Broadbent said: "There were many people who witnessed the incident but no one else had the courage of Mr Sefton and Mr Hussain.
This pair, who had never met before, worked together in a desperate attempt to save the man. The courage they showed in this tragedy is exactly the reason why we have these awards."

The man, whose bike had collided with a car, died as a result of his injuries.

The Vellum is awarded when someone has put themselves in considerable danger to rescue someone else.
