Ban doesn't stop Sunday sales/Officer extorts bike/Yamaha launches iPod bike

First up, apologies for posting all of these under one thread, but I've been trying to get the latter two items on here for the last few days with no success, so posting them as replies seemed to be the only way...

    Back to the news...

The Michigan Department of State says motorcycle dealers don't have to worry about fines or loss of their licenses if they sell on Sunday.

A change in state regulations that took effect January 31st appeared to tighten penalties for Sunday vehicle sales and to include motorcycles under the ban, leading to dealers halting sales. The Department of State has now corrected the wording of the advice on their website, advising only passenger cars and trucks are affected by the ban

Surely selling bikes on Sunday counts as religious materials? After all, as we all know, Moses’ Triumph was heard all over the land…

Officer takes bike instead of fine

A US police officer has been forced to resign over charges of extortion. It appears Officer Donald Weld broke up a fight between a woman and her boyfriend. Weld then took the man’s 883 Sportster in exchange for not reporting the incident.

A neighbour called Weld’s chief to report his actions. Weld has claimed the motorcycle was ‘given to him as a gift’.

    Yamaha introduces iPod bike

Yamaha has designed a special edition iPod-modified electric bike.

They have modified their EC-02 electric bike with a specially designed iPod case on top of the bike, and embedded controls on the right handlebar. There is also a stereo speaker for those who want to "blast out tunes whilst scooting along".

Currently Yamaha has no plans to market the bike in Europe.

Sadly I've not seen any photos, but I'm guessing it is held in some kind of recessed container, with the leads running along the bars.

I read somewhere that because the iPod would be vibrating, it'd crap out pretty quick, and would skip too, because it uses a harddrive.. where as the smaller "flash" players would be ok..
You are only coming through in waves. Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying...
