    Xmas Day ride

An open invitation to all that DO NOT DO XMAS for whatever reason, dads without access to their kids, mums that have given up their kids so dad can have a turn, non religious, or different religion, you are all welcome.

I am going to be doin the BIG BLOCK on xmas day.
Christchurch, springs junction, murcherson, buller gorge, westport, punakiki, greymouth, arthurs pass, chch. Leaving my house about 9am (yea yea Larikin i know i am always late hehehe). You are welcome to join or leave the ride as you like.

    NOTE!!!!!!
This ride is for experienced riders only, it is a long way and we will be travelling at a "nice pace" all the way. It is not a race but there will be those that will treat it as a time trial... There will be the odd fuel stop for regroups etc but... you will ultimately be responsible for yourself, No support vehicle, No TEC, No cellphone coverage for most of the trip...

On the return to CHCH i will be putting an a BBQ and a few BEERS or a pipe for those that way inclined... Also there is a spa pool (bring your shorts if you want to use it lol) to relax in, and i have several spare beds and a couple of spare rooms for anyone that wants to stay the night and have a real cut loose session.

yes the BBQ and drinks are open to all KBers after the ride, but realise we will not be making an effort to get back by a particular time... it will just be "when we get back"

Oh yea and the anti XMAS day ride will no doubt be repeated the following weekend as an "ANTI NEW YEARS EVE" ride It will take a bit more organizing tho... as i plan to do it at night... being NYE, maybe the distance will be a little less for the night ride... possibly the short block... however i do plan to be at Arthurs Pass or Reefton (depends which way i go) at Midnight... I am trying to coordinate fuel stops... either by secure fuel drops or card pay petrol stations. So feel free to join in on that one as well...

When I was a teenager, group of us young ones would always disappear for the avo for a blat....pressies opened, xmas dinner consumed....left the rels to bicker, snore or get stuck into the sherry/port

Not a lot of entertainment in Ashvagas in the seventies lol
