Hat's are easy to see, and there are no such things as plain clothes taxi's.

Plain clothes cop cars should be banned for the sake of hazard identification.

Eggs Zachary the same thing happened to me, except the other driver was Mr Joe Public, and there was no dispute about him being at fault. I dunno if he was charged, but he certainly paid the insurance bill for my writtten-off VFR.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Many winters ago when I was a Westy and lived in that hallowed haven of boganism and freedom of dress sence (oh yeah westy girls and FM boots yum) I was collected by a cop who did a massive 180 burnout to action his UEE

Right in front of me going other direction, no reason at all (I was only car within 300m of the patrol car that did this) this copper swerves to the curb, (heading toward me in other lane) then does a Dukes of Hazard style u-turn, total loss of traction control, and LOSES it totally!!!

As I was beside his car as he lost it, his boot went into my rear drivers side door.....
I had 2 people in the car with me......one had just left the Police force and actually had known the offending driver when he was a rookie

My car was repaired, no charges laid against copper, rental provided while car repaired, and it vanished....no official records, no crash report.....
I was just grateful at the end of the day my car was fixed.
    Just ride.

Yep, if we collated all these awesome examples, we could swing it above our head like a juggernaut. Awesome. Perhaps the pigs might think twice, just like they demand we do.

Well, being Joe Public he's probably more honest about what happened than most cops would be. They don't do themselves (or their workmates) any favours by pulling these stunts and pouring out the pork pies to cover their arses.

Yeah - a website - that will fuck 'em. How about we get really radical and setup a facebook group - you will have them begging for mercy by the end of the week.

    or not.

    cops and u turns

I met a copper at the top of the Rimutaka hill road, we got to talking about u turns etc. he went back to his car and pulled out a picture of the horendous crash that occured in the Buller Gorge 20 odd months ago.
He said he looks at it every day as a reminder of what can happen....not all ECILOP's are gormless, there does seem to be the odd good one
