I;'m in!! Booked and paid.
If you see me getting a wises maps book out mid circuit it is just because I can't find any of the apexes and am looking to be pointed in the right direction..
Long circuit apparently. Can't wait.

hey anyone doing photos?
If not I'll bring the cam along if I'd likely be allowed to shoot from the infield somewhere..
Can you provide more info about this day. I went to the CDMTC open day @ Manfield on 3rd of April, was first time on track so am keen to get out again. Will you be running different groups (i.e. novice, medium, fast. Was in medium last time, and wouldn't mind staying in it if there will be one)? Also what are the rules regarding bike condition/state (i.e. do we need WOF, will there be scrutineering before going out)? How many people are you planning to get out there, and how many have signed up so far? If you could provide us with a pdf/word document answering some FAQs that'd be cool.
There are three groups. Road and track only bikes allowed. Approx 10 spots left..55 people signed up so far.
These days are VERY well run... any silly bugger behaviour gets rewarded with an arse full of Brian Bernard's boot. A free lunch is provided.
Give Lloyd a call on the numbers at the beginning of the thread.
My insurance company (John Baker Insurance) provides me with cover for the day.
Ask ANYONE who has done one of Lloyd's track days... you won't hear a negative comment!![]()
It's a training day Boba ! 3 groups so ya don't get intimidated with racers flying past at warp speed ! Brian takes novices and those that might like a little extra tuition aside (last day it was over on the long circuit extension) for 30 minutes or so for a yarn about hmmm stuff !
CD days are cool and cheap as chips, but where else would you get to spend time on and off the track with a someone who has lived to race like Brian Bernard ! Not to mention if i'm not mistaken, the NZ F3 (reigning) champion Glen Williams has also volunteered his time for this one, spent time on the track with glen today haha was fun following him for hmmm 1 or 2 corners each time he lapped me lol (ok so he was testing and wasn't showing me, but i sure got the learn)
So hmmmm lets see, 60 odd riders in three groups (no crowded track)
1 on 1 tuition on and off track (a word to these guys and they will follow you for a lap or so to see what your up to, then pass ya, tap the rear of their bike as in follow me and take you through the corners as they should be done, advantage for you here with only having done the one trackday is no bad habits to correct yet)
Dozens of other trackday guys and gals, some of em racers to pick the brains of ! (Disclaimer : for THEIR ideas NOT neccessarily the best ideas lol)
AND CAKE Mmmmm, i only go for the lunch ! Tuition is cool, but the lunch ............
Far too loud in them cockpits aye ?
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
Bowls can wait !
Im not sure if we are running a catering event, or a motorcycling event,... now where was I?
Note to all, we are nearly full, so any entry spaces on the day look very unlikely.
If anyone plans to attend that will need to contact me to ensure we have space, as I want to keep numbers down to a manageable level. Everyone please bring good weather! I am so looking forward to catching up with Team Top Dresser, and their nefarious associates! LOL.
Please note EVERYONE! The briefing will start at 8.30a.m. Please be on time so we can make the most of the day. Thanks
Anyone from Wellington going? I'm contemplating going, and would be putting the gixxer on the trailer so could squeeze in another 2 bikes max if any of you guys are willing to split the diesel cost with me? PM me or email boba_8@hotmail.com. By the way, I'm in Titahi Bay so would be leaving here around 6ish on the day.
