Help..Wanted to buy, beg, borrow or steal...

I have a friend with a TL1000 (you know what's coming don't you......) who has a stuffed ( and I mean stuffed) rotary damper on his 2001 model. Not a biggie as he was going to go the Ohlins way anyway.
Trouble is its probably not particularly safe to ride but he and his wife have arranged for his parents to take the kids for a week over Xmas so they can at last go riding together. Unfortunately a damper change isn't an option until after at least January 5th. so if anyone has a reasonably good one sitting on their shelf that he could buy,beg steal or borrow to get him through the Xmas period please let me know. These guys have had a tough year and being able to go riding together for a week would definitely be a bright spot for them. Thanks in advance.
