Insurance oddities

Just re-insuring contents and was talking with the lovely lady about the following clauses:

• Electrical goods are covered for power surges etc
• Musical instruments are not covered if being used

Turns out an electric guitar amp is considered a musical instrument (as is the guitar obviously), so my surge protector has been moved from expensive home theater system to the electric guitar amp. dumbarses.

Any others to watch for?

Got a mate (shut up, I do) whose Navman (along with other stuff) got pinched from their house and the insurance co wanted them to make two claims (contents and car) to claim for it because "GPS units live in the car"
