Hand cut, slightly bigger chips....rather than going through the chipper, or from a packet.

"Pont Neuf" is actually the size of the chip, but what I put above is probably what they're going off, like jullienne or miropoix.

Anyway, what do I have in my letterbox, but an advert from Domino's Pizza for a Creme Brulee Puffle. Now I must say, it's not very Creme Brulee like (other than the fact they both contain custard). It looks like a lump of puff pizza crust with custard in the middle. I must say though, I'm wondering what it's like.
if it is from Domino's it will be shit.

creme brulee is not difficult to make, the key is good eggs, full cream milk, and proper vanilla pods. If you can make runny custard the proper way, you'll be fine.

I can't stand crème brulee but I ordered it at every visit to our favourite restaurant. It was purely in an effort to get the French waitress to say Crème brulee as many times as possible. It danced off her tongue and across the table like an angels song.

She melted my heart as the flame melted the sugar, sadly she would not marry me and my fave restaurant these days is looked after by a male waitress who speaks in a very camp voice of Pavlovas , sticky toffee pudding and ballet, my love of puddings is no more
    Oh bugger

In your opinion maybe, but i think our 1000s of customers might disagree with you there.

Also, have you tried every single one of their sides? Or every single one of their pizzas? I can speak from experience in saying that most the pizzas are damn good, and all the sides are.

One other point though, it makes a HUGE difference to the end product in who actually makes it, a lot of people tend to over-top them, which to most sounds like good value, but it actually makes the pizza taste terrible.

Pizza making is an art . I'd like to see you make better whilst producing up to 100 pizzas in an hour.
    Yeah, nah.

Havent tried that one myself yet, even at my prices i refuse to pay extra for chicken

Mostly cos i just dont like chicken pizzas though...

But the puffles.... sure they might not be "proper" creme brulee, but thats not the point. They are certainly very yummy and thats all that matters isn't it?
    Yeah, nah.

Did you not even notice that is in America? Dominos in America shares only the name and a few pizza recipes with Dominos here. They have totally different equipment, they do sandwiches! And clearly their work ethic is totally different. If you saw our food safety scores, i think you'd find they match or even better many top restuarants. Especially at the Porirua store
    Yeah, nah.

Yes, yes and thrice yes, but you dont do pies....proper pies....mince and cheese pies....with sauce......see....

Actually, last time I did hjave a Dominos I spent the next day on the khazi. It sort of inspired a marketing campaign that I submitted to Domino HQ, went like this.....

When the bottom has fallen out of your world

    Why not try a Domino's

Then watch the world fall out of your bottom

    Dominos

    Squeeze your head, it helps

Not heard back just yet, must be busy with their new Turkey and Ecoli Christmas Pizza Special or something...

I'm pretty sure that pizza would fail. Badly. The Ecoli would have no chance against a 270 degree oven. I'm not kidding. That thing is fucken hot, kills anything.
    Yeah, nah.

Couldn't you just buy two pizza's and invert one on top of the other? That's essentially a pie isn't it?

Just had that puffle thing from Dominoes, was shit, also had a pastry pasta thing, that was shit too, also had some chicken kickers, that they had to run out to me cause they forgot to give me them, they were shit as well. Got 2 helpings of chunky chips, they were two small pizza boxes of steak fries that numbered about 15 per box, and you guessed it, they were shit too. BUT the pizza was ok, we were hungry tho'. Won't be going back there in a lifetime!
