    Help the mechanical dunce!

I have a hyosung GT650. I don't know much at all about engines, so I'll try and explain as best as I can. I was pulling away from the traffic lights (not too slowly) and when I settled in to a cruise the bike felt like it was misfiring but I dont think that is the issue. There is a clattering noise coming from the engine and I can feel it grabbing the clutch lever as it makes it, so I assume it is a clutch or gear box problem?? Any help would be appreciated as I can't take it to a garage until new year now Thanks a lot.

Stink. I have some spare GT650 bits here, and I'll get you going if I can.

You are going to have to get someone to pull that clutch cover off and have a nosey. If something has shit itself there, then maybe we can get you going in just a few days.

edit: join the chatroom (link at top of this page)

edit: it might also just be the clutch basket retainer nut come right off. They come loose, and if not fixed I expect it will eventually spin right off.

"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."
