Hi I am Moksha and would like to clear your doubts. What i mean for wear and tear of the bike, is that we provide bikes in excellent conditions and of course the mechanice is there with all the spare parts. But if any part of the bike is broken due to the negligence or any other reasons, it is replaced immediately, the client is expected to pay for that. We also carry a spare bike and in case there is a serious problem with any of the bike, we give the spare bike to the client. We provide bikes in excellent conditions and normally there are less problems with them.
We arrange inner-line permits in advance in Ladakh area but in Spiti region, the participants are required to be present at the time of permits.

Stomach can get upset in a foreign country easily. We always suggest our clients to drink only mineral water and also clients should carry essential medicines for personal use. I have been leading many tours but there was never a single incident where a client was sick for days together. It could be just an incident where your boss got sick foe many a long time. We have treavellers coming around the world and they love to make repeat visits....Moksha

Here is the reply to your query:
Wear and tear of the bike means if any part is broken diring the tour, due to the negligence or any other reasons, that has to be replaced and the person riding that bike will be paying for that.
Inner-line permits are needed for certain areas in Ladakh regoin and the whole Spiti area. Govt. charges certain fees for that. but now it has been dleted from the itinerary and taken care of. Now client won't be paying extra for that.
Anything else means, if a clients likes to do some extra activity e.g rafting or camel safari in Ladakh, since that is not included in the pricing, a client is required to pay that extra.
I felt that the three things you have mentioned, were creating confusion in reader's mind, so all these have been deleted from the website.

I recently signed on to the first ever women only motorcycle tour through India (Himalaya) riding the world's highest ridable roads!

The tour is offered by Moksha and her company (www.back-n-beyond.com), the first Indian woman to offer motorcycle tours. How cool is that? She is a real inspiration. The tour in 2010 will be her first women only tour and she needs 10 women to make it happen. So far we are one German, one Austrian and myself (a German Kiwi = Giwi). Any REAL Kiwi-Girlz interested????
The tour is from 27 August - 11 September 2010 and costs US$2400 including bike hire of the intrepid Royal Enfield Bullet...

I expect to hear from you!
Awesome!!!! That's sounds like a lot of fun. I would be keen but $$$ are my problem.

Have a fantastic time - something you will always remember fondly

When you say the cost of the tour is.... I'm guessing this is the cost once you get to India?.... The cost of air fares and extra accommodation and food before and after the tour needs to be added on, right?

This would be an amazing tour, but my finances atm prohibit such an excursion

I see... I am interested in doing a similar trip myself (with all girls would be nice, but I don't "qualify" for this particular one (ahem)

So, if the engine was to say, for example, run a main bearing on the trip, according to your posts, I would be responsible...... I find that unnacceptable!

    Hi..I am Moksha again.
I think you are again getting confused here..if some mechanical problem comes up in the bike, of course, the customer is not responsible for that. Normally, a client knows pretty well when something gets broken down because of mishandling or anything else. We don't charge any thing which is not reasonable. We never had any such disagreement with any of our clients so far.
Please don't be apprehensive, we don't charge a single penny extra unnecessary from our clients as they are too precious to us and their opinions do matter a lot to us.

Yes, the cost given is from Delhi to Delhi, excluding airfare to and fro your destination.
Hope to see you sometimes for this incredible tour.
