    lets get these people talking.

Ok enough is enough. im pissed offf
4 date clashes in 2 months is rediculous.
post classic meeting conflicted with taupo meeting
AMCC meeting same weekend as vmcc
3 hour same day as taupo meeting
taupo amcc meeting same date as vmcc meeting

Lets see if we can get the different road race clubs to communicate.
As someone else said The road race callender is empty enough and its hard enough getting entrys without clashes of dates
dont these people talk or something???

Know what you are saying Frosty. You would think that MNZ should play a big role in this, wouldn't you? But no, they seem to be too busy being beaurocratic to be any help to anyone.

i just think that its one of those things that everybody knows should happen but the people who make the decisions.

i am all for the idea, but i must admit that booking track times and so forth would be a major to change without causing a shi 'ite storm with the cage racers.
yeah... sorry bro, i thought that ment miles 'n hour.

it seems just stupid to me. as ya say 52 weeks in the year
4 -6 meetings per club lets say 15 total
plus 2 north island national rounds 17
    17 weeks out of 52
Ill give AMCC their due this year though -the situation for them really sucked with the track being U/S for 4 months
Normally their club series would be done and dusted by april

Sometimes the dates meetings can be run are dictated by the track as it's not just the motorcyle clubs who are using them and perhaps if the date didn't clash then they may not get another date they can use the track for several weeks

    money where my mouth is

Well Im looking to put my money -or body -where my mouth is.
I figure if the racing scene in NZ is going to change it needs someone prepared to put in the effort to make it happen.
As I see it there are 3 active bike clubs in the north island --PMCC,AMCCand VMCC -Im fu=iguring that someone or someones outside the existing heirachy of all 3 clubs might be able to massage some sort of race series out of them.
There would need to be one set of rules re machine setup and engine size etc as well as points per meeting.
Im thinking itll be a 12 round series coinciding with the 4 rounds of every clubs local club series.
Heaps of advantages to all clubs and riders -Ie better attendance at each meeting and therefore better racing for those doing it.
I'm thinking I need to massage the existing infastructure so the basics like fire equipment and marshalls is taken care of.
Heres a wicked lil twist. The rider can nominate 2 meetings results and dump them. Points are calculated on best results for 10 not 12 meetings.
It means that a rider can miss 2 meetings and still be in the running but if you do all 12 meetings you can dump your worst 2 results.
Im thinking to cater for maximum bike type/classes.

When I was on the AMCC RR committee we used to get dates offered to us for racing at Puke. We had to book sometimes over a year in advance, and then the Aussie V8 guys would change a date so the NZ V8 guys would as well and our date would be bumped to accommodate them. We had to book the dates we could for race meetings and hope that when the time came that it didn't clash with too much other stuff. Every effort was made to not cause a clash but most of the time there wasn't much choice with it.
