    Monteith's Pale Ale

Right up there with Tuatara's but not as hoppy. Creamy hit to start with, then hops, then green apples. It's superb.

Special brew to celebrate 140 years on the West Coast.

It's my understanding that beer drinking leads to intoxication. Sounds risky to me. I s'pose if I mix it with a drop of lemonade.......

Cruel and unusual punishmment sir, seeing as I'm on a dry rig for another 10days 11 hours.......sounds like a nice way to celebrate my freedom though, not that I'll even taste the first couple.

Yes I've always enjoyed a Pale Ale. Nice with a spicy meal.

Isn't that 135 years on the West Coast, followed by 5 years of token brewing...?

Just booked a tour and tasting session at the Montieths brewery in March.

I try some on your recommendation - just for research mind.

My dad will only drink Speights. He was living in Greymouth for awhile and went for a tour of the brewery with his work.
Got to the bar after the tour and was asked what he would like. He said "Speights thanks mate". The guy responded "Sorry sir we only have Monteiths beer here". Dad said "I'll have a water then".
I'm gonna make it so PC

    Speights tour in Dunedin

I would trecommend the tour , they also do a pacakge deal with the Cadbury choccy factory which may keep your significant other happy for a while.

Yet more proof that drunken 12 year olds shouldn't breed.
