OOh yes, it absolutely screamed at 17k rpm (old version still had a 17.5k rpm redline). It was music to my ears, annoyance to so many others!

I'm sure they work for motogp bikes but I heard they don't exactly ramp power up compared to a regular yoshi/akropov' pipes?

I'm not sure, never had a Yoshi they don't work well on Yamaha's and I wouldn't own much else. 600'ds are revvy and make bugger all torque so when your riding them to the limiter they do fly!

Hmmmm...... got quite a few 'used to race this' pictures so here goes with the first...

This 996 Ducati was built by Two Four Italia racing and was a superb bike to ride even though it was down on power when compared to the 1000cc Superbikes I used to ride against. The Duke got eaten down longer straights but was awesome on the brakes and through the turns where it clawed the power disadvantage back....

Not sure where it is now but loved the bike even though it tried to kill me once when it ate its air filter.... Snetterton straight is the fastest in the UK and you go from flat out 6th to the brakes to set up for the first part of a left then tight right section. As i shut the throttle the bike just carried on at full power.... the foam filter had jammed the throttle butterflies..... interesting moment!

This was the British Superstock winning R1 Yamaha ridden to the 2004 title by Danny Beaumont. I bought it to run in 2005 but after winter testing it against a full spec Supersport 600 decided to do the 600 season...

Anyone know where the picture is taken?

These two were the loves of my racing life to date....

Two full FIM spec Supersport bikes running Motec, AIM digital dash boards, full spec 'kitted' motors, WP, Motec quick shift.... the lot.....

These bikes on full chat are an experience I will never forget, plus they won me a few Championships.
