To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?

These bikes on full chat are an experience I will never forget, plus they won me a few Championships.
Awesome series of bikes mate. I'd say "half your luck", but I don't think luck has got anything to do with it, so "well done", instead.

    Here's mine.

Can normally be found MILES behind Peter Smith's bike! A 1989 GSXR1100 in Posties. Still a work in progress.

Is that a 2007/8 bike with old forks/brakes, or a 2005/6 bike with new bodywork? They are lovely bikes

I note that both the photos of you riding are on the 03/04 bike, did you have a preferance for the older one or..? Interesting to see someone choose the older bike also, I did a season on the old bike with the new one as a spare, it just worked better for me.

Hi Jay, if you mean me..... our number one bike was the 2004 which just had a slightly higher spec in terms of electronics and motor.

Both were running the same spec suspension with full WP rear and 25mm front, just obviously the older bike had the conventional forks which to me actually felt a tad better. There were quite a few guys in the UK that year who even when they had a full spec 2005 bike preferred the older 2003/4 spec bikes. I took a while to get the new 2005 onwards honda sorted.

I won on both bikes through the season but the number 1 bike could lap about a second quicker at most tracks

wow, interesting to hear. No one here really gave the Honda a go after Shaun Harris one on the first RR in...musta been 04? Thats a huge amount quicker over a lap! Unless its at IOM, Nurburgring of course

I guess it was also to do with feeling more at home/confident on the number 1 bike and therefore feeling i could push it further, so while it had more power it also had more effort from me....

    .
That would be the Ohiti Rd Street Sprint here in sunny Hastings. 2.8kms of twisty stuff in just under a min. Those crests were great for the croud, but a real pain when it comes to setting up for the next corner! The Pacific club runs a few such events a year, im always there with bells on.
