    Bikes for Kids

Who is going to the Bikes for Kids rally at the Roxburgh Childrens Health Camp on 8th-9th July??
This is a good value rally - indoor accomodation, lots of sponsored prizes and all profits to projects at the Camp, this is a big benefit to the kids that attend the camp and many of these kids are "underprivileged" so dig into your pockets and attend.
Full meals are included, also band, novelty prizes etc too!!!

(Jantar and ibd etc would have to be there eh?)

I've just checked my roster, and yes I'll be there. A good wee run for the RE5 (if I can just find where I've put the damn ignition key).

It's a long way out for me yet SD - I don't usually know what I'm doing next week let alone in two months.
Nevertheless it sounds good to me - should we arrange a decent ride in case the weather's fine (bearing in mind that the first one two years ago had about three inches of snow)?

Went there with Chrissie-Bimbo, had a bit of a damp ride up.
As per last year, we were the first bike there at about midday(and got award for 1st registered), we went down to Succulents in Roxburgh for a late lunch (top-notch place) and went back to the camp later on, bikes started arriving including Jantar, ended up with about 30-40 bikes and over 100 people there.

Todays ride home was COLD, there had been a fresh dusting of snow and there was more ice on the Sporties seat this morning than on the Brass Monkey!!!

Stopped at the Lemon Tree in Lawrence for lunch with another half dozen or so from my home town.

A real good rally (no sleeping in a tent or port-a-loos!!) and the money raised goes to improve the Health Camp.
