I thought I should update this thread. I have been off crutches now for 2 weeks. Now that has to be the best feeling. The bottom of my foot is held together with about 2 metres of strapping tape, that gets replaced every few days, and I have to wear "proper" shoes at all times. I attempted cheating and wearing jandals last Monday and have been paying the price ever since with pain and a creeping bad attitude as a result

However, it is improving and as long as I dont push my luck and blow it again it should be all good. I was a good girl and used my crutches for longer than I really wanted to, that has made the difference in the healing, no orthopeadic specialist for me as a result I am able to walk reasonably well, bit of a limp on sometimes (it hurts you see) even with my "proper" shoes. Uneven ground is the pits Absolutely friggen hopeless in bare feet/jandals and to a lesser extent my bike boots and I am not not confident of its stability to ride my own bike. I cant imagine putting my foot down and taking my weight as well as my bike, and I cant do tip toe, or take weight on the ball of my foot. I am not prepared to re-injure myself and my physio has warned me about over doing it, so I am being a good girl

I cant tell you how many people have said to me, "OH, did you do that on your bike?"

The Physio costs me $25 a visit, I am happy to pay that. The Ultrasound was free! FREE? How come that was free? I paid $165 for an ultrasound of my boobies not so long ago, and would have been happy to contribute some to the cost of that for my foot, but no, that was free

    Weird eh?

You? A good girl? Who's really posting on Mom's log-in?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

You have no idea just how difficult it has been to be good, and just how friggen frustrating it has been. You should feel sorry for Maha, he is the one that has had to cope with me feeling really, truely not happy, for something that I cant make better and neither can he! Poor bastard

Yup, recovering to the point of being able to do more stuff the way you used to is a great feeling. I know where you're coming from. All the best wishes for the rest of your rehabilitation - make sure you use it all as much as you can (and your physiotherapist recommends), a little pain now makes it all that much better down the road.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

Trust me, I dont mind a bit of pain with reward. I will push to grow, but not to injure

I have a raft of pain giving exercises from the physio. He was horrible enough to tell me to repeat something to fatigue What follows that is cramp in the night though

I am working hard to get better. I dont suit a limp at all.

I too am a statistic of decks. Good to hear you are healing MOM

Grip Tread............what a load of BS! It was winter, I had only a little bit of lawn, and the deck was higher than the small yard, so could not see any ice anywhere. Took the washing out and slipped on the first step, down to the last, bruises for Africa! Ended up that I smashed a disk in my back, and had to have one replaced. Trying to get that on ACC, was bedlem as I did not go running to the doctor at first, as I thought I was a clutz and just badly bruised, it was a couple of months later that all the back pain started, and I ended up taking ACC to the disputes tribunal to prove my plight was due to the fall! I now know that if I hurt my finger, I'll be running to my doc to have it documented LOL

I know you'll do it! You've had to be tough and no doubt it's paying off now.
