AKL to Wanganui - Xmas Day

I'm going to be heading down at about midday from Auckland. Is there anyone else heading down a bike that might want to catch up for the ride down?

I usually go out the back way from Ngaruawahia down SH39 through to Te Kuiti then onto SH4. It's a pretty fun ride. My bike may be loaded up with gear so I won't be going too quick - I'd like to keep my licence in my pocket!

The ride takes about 6hrs taking it fairly casually and my aim is to arrive at Wanganui before 7pm.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

We're planning on heading down about then as well, though we've got to get down from Mangawhai in the morning so not 100% sure on timings etc.

    You camping?

Staying at my aunts - usually she'd let me offer up floor space but they are having a family xmas this year so it's already a full house before I show up. I'm camping at Taupo though.

Give me a text and let me know, I'm fairly flexible on timings so don't stress that too much!
