Not just for trucks man, giving the gas a wee poke while the clutch is pulled is good practice on most bikes, unless its a 2 smoke or a race machine with a sliiper clutch..

May have stopped your wheel from locking up..

    And, you will find, motorbikes.

Although that said, I blip in cars too, just out of habit.

Heh, me too! but best to do it in nuetral in the car, speed up the gearbox input shaft to match the output speed in the lower gear...

Gutted about the bike, it looked awesome. But good that you're ok!
    Yeah, nah.

I had a very quick look at the bike after the crash as I was passing by when it was leaning up against a fence and it looked pretty fucked to me. I'm sure the front wheel was moved back a fair bit from where it's supposed to be. I'm guessing it's going to be an insurance write off.

Offer to buy it back from insurance for a ridiculously low amount and part it out

CBRs are raced and shit aren't they? Shouldn't have any issue moving the parts. Especially with newbies crashing them every day

I'll take the right hand side mirror!

    Why?

I suggest you read my thread in the "Survival Skills" section. I faced a very similar thing to what you did, yet I managed to keep the bike upright.

hey smokeu, that musta been after i got carted away.

offering to buy the bike and parting it out would be a good idea. it had stainless steel extractors and a mint engine (imo) .

mirrors would be fucked to whoever asked.

i've been praying for an undo button this whole time.
and i did read the survival skills posts a few months ago. didnt rememberanything at the time. infact i stodd straight back up after rolling 7-10 times uphill and took my helmwt ioff lol
