    Okay, intro time (Phreak)

Hey guys, my name is Scott, and I bought myself a 1990 CBR 250RR for Xmas. Well, actually I have had the bike for almost a month now, but it was my main purchase for the holiday season.

The previous owner spent a lot of time and care on this bike, endowing her with a full Repsol fairing kit, ultrasonic cleaned carbies etc, michelin treads, alarm... pretty much the whole nine yards!

Only thing I have done so far is to add some aftermarket (CBR600) polished levers, thanks to Cycletreads up here on the North Shore - you guys ROCK!

Have put over 2000kms on the dial myself already, and love every minute of it!

So, if you see me out there, I'm pretty hard to miss, gimme a wave, and maybe we'll meet up sometime on a weekend cruise or something.

Welcome North sider - You and me both. My bike was my christmas pressie but outside of that we are chalk and cheese (see my profile) mines a retro single pot 4stroke chugga chugga. Will wave though as you charge past me

Okay, so, WTF? Pretty much every other biker I ride past up here on the 'shore refuses to acknowledge me with a simple wave or nod (except the ones that I know that I see a fair bit of!) Are we all turning into a pack of little girls...?

Not that I have anything against female riders, my G.F. happens to be one!

    GIMME A WAVE FFS!

I would not get to offended, some people just don't find it nesessary to wave, it's their choice. Some people can't take their hand off the bars to wave for fear of loosing control of the bike. I generally wave but if im occupied with what is going on in front of me i won't, and with strong winds down here at the moment it would just be plain embarrassing losing control of the bike for the sake of a social wave.

Some bikers will give you a nod, others will give you a wave, most of them do some sort of greeting..
