After nearly a year of being off the Mille, I had to get back on 2 wheels, so I bought myself an UTW (unpowered 2 wheeler).
Today after assembling it and taking it on a cross country shakedown...that shook the handlebars loose...I rechecked and tightened everything to brave the roads of Portsmouth city centre.
Everything went well until I approached the first roundabout. I slowed checking for a clear spot to enter into, then as I found it I gave it a handful of right twistgripThis merely popped me into the lowest gears and my legs spin round faster than a randy hamster chasing a female inside a wheel. On a bicycle Twist of the Wrist doesn't work

Well at least I'm on two wheels and I guess getting myself fitter and stronger (perhaps even lighter) for when I can once again ride the RSVR. What worries me is that if I get used to this cycling lark I might try peddling on the mille![]()
