    Back on bike!

    Whew!

Hadn't ridden for a few months after a worrisome stress-induced "shit! I wasn't paying attention!" incident when I decided I'd better stay off the bike while I'm so distracted...

Today I went for my first ride again, and luckily discovered the following:

My bike started without too much complaining!
    All the lights still worked!
    She ran beautifully!
    I can still ride!
    I still love riding!!!

So, all is good, and even if my dissertation (source of stress!) drags out all summer, at least I will have got one wee ride in!

Yer I did the same after a crash. No biking for a whole month.

It's a great feeling to be back on it ay.. Hard lesson now learned and behind ya, and remember your bike has plenty more hard lessons where that one came from so be vigilant, and always with brain in gear before bike.

Theres lots of summer to enjoy!

Riding can be a form of stress relief. Enjoy the fresh air and smell the roses. Good to hear you've been back in the saddle

You have a whole summer of rides left, but it doesn't have to stop because the Sun goes away ...

Good on you for getting back on. Went through similar when I first started back after 5 years. It really is just like riding a bike eh

Hope you find a way to ease your mind so that your stresses don't effect your ability or desire to get out on your bike.

Always engage brain before 1st gear and assess check that the brain is up to speed as you are riding. Sometimes your timing is just out and you are not safe, ride to the conditions you are one of the conditions. Regards Richard

    Hey there,

Yeah you sure need your wits about you when riding. Riding is a form of stress release.

Good luck hope you everything works out for you and you get some more rides in
