Yeah yeah... vroom vrooooom baby!!
There should be an adjustment on the switch - look near your brake pedal/rear master cylinder
Edit: See attached pic of the switch, you just need to screw it up or down until the brake light actuates at the touch of the pedal (allow a little free play) and then tighten the lock ring (careful it's only plastic so don't be heavy handed!)![]()
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? ...He's a mile away and you've got his shoes
Firstly... What are you using the rear brake for???
Anyhow, yes, it is either your switch has gone out of adjustment OR, there is a pile of road grime that has got in there.
Get some CRC CO Contact cleaner, and give it a blast out.... Should work fine.
If no joy, talk to one of the race boys.
They would have ripped the switch off on the first day they got the bike home.... (They might be keeping the road gear though).
It's recommended by my Honda service guide to regularly adjust the switch every 2000km. Now why can't bikes have a service free switch? One that switches on hydraulic pressure rather than a lever position.
Check the switch and see if its moving when the brake is applied. Squirt a little CRC 556 or similar down the switch mechanism to free it up.
If the mechanism is fine, get your electrical tester and look for a circuit fault.

"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
"Wow, Great advise there DB."
WTB: Hyosung bikes or going or not.
