Anyone riding to Nelson for the street races on Jan 1st?

Just wondering if anyone is riding up to Nelson for the street races and if so when. I'm thinking I'd like to go but prefer not to ride on my own. haven't decided 100% simply because i don't have to ... but let me know if you don't mind an extra rider along. cheers RQ

Maybe! If so, the plan is to head over to the coast on the 1st and stay with a mate, then up to Nelson with some coasters on the 2nd for the port street racing on the 2nd, Rabbit Island beach racing on the 3rd, and Stoke bike show on the 2nd and 3rd ... maybe ... it's weather dependent.

    Well

I'm pretty much the same as far as free agent goes. Son goes to Dad's on new years eve and I just figured it would be cool to ride somewhere. 10days up my sleeve is just tooooooo tempting... I like the idea of leaving early on the 2nd but like the idea of a coast ride just as much.
Will see what else pop's up out of the woodwork....but I think I'll be going

We're going coast ride one way, and inland the other way. Which way on what day we don't know.. winging it.

Cripes, Flip, between trigger actuation and the shot leaving the barrel, the target-lead would be, what, about 15 metres....and the rabbit would be ready-smoked if it was in range - I've seen Bess in action, you know.
And you must have cornered the lead market to make the shot, eh?

Only ever picked up scrap lead off demolition sites.

The lock time might be a problem for me but this is how folk hunted in days gone past. Proper follow through is probably the secret.
