$50 for a transponder? why so much? We only pay and extra $10 at ruapuna!!!!

MCC own the transponders and do a cheap hire rate, at MNZ nationals the transponder hire is $70 for the weekend

Iam not sure the exact cost yet if we were to run transponders, but the $50 was a ball park figure, anyway by the sounds of it most are happy the way it is. The problem we do have is more in the modern solo classes where it is so hard to see the race numbers, so will probably run transponders in those classes, but then we need another team to do the other classes lapscoring........ we will sort somthing out

I'm all for making this as cheap as possible but.... at the end of the day, if we have to pay for transponders to reduce the over-heads to TRRS organisers etc; then thats the way it will have to be. start saving for it a bit earlier.
we wouldn't want to lose this opportunity by just being difficult, would we?

he is asking IF we want them.... if enough say no... how will that add to their costs?
