Is that "Mavis is hot and I'm sticky"......

The weather here in Aucks is so bad already at night that even with the ceiling fan going the temp only drops comfortably to go to sleep by about 6am!

How quickly you all forget. Last year's Boxing Day we had snow in Upper Hutt.

December is traditionally a very fickle month, and very susceptible to the vagaries of climes due to the effect of the Southern Oscillation.

This year we've got an El Nino, compared to the La Nina we've had recently, and summer takes a while to get going.

Once these lows are out of the way in the next couple of weeks the weather will pick up hugely.

About the same time I go back to work.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

People moan about the Xmas break every year...it's the most fickle weather of the year. One year my 5,000 gal water tank over flowed on Xmas Day.I wonder what the weather will be like next year? I think it will be sunny at times, have rainy spells,be unseasonably cold and windy.....just like it is every year.

Summer never starts until you hear the crickets. Not a peep as yet.
