Nothing really. I knew it wasn't near Napier because of the sand so I guessed it was south of Hastings. I knew it wasn't Ocean or Waimarama because I was just out there today. so thought it had too be south of them. It was actually the third beach I looked at on Google Maps. Then I looked for that tree and the road signs.

Yes i went Middle road on the way there, and Kahuranaki on the way home.
Was cool until I got home and found my rear tyre was worn to the wire
I'm gong to oz for a year to see how things go so won't be getting one there.
If all goes well I'll just ship mine with the rest of my stuff.
Besides, there's too many Roo's and wombats on the road to be riding a bike from what I've seen so far.

Not done this tagorama before, and would not have even been looking as this thread if it had not been for blackdog. When he was in HB helping me with the MX Holiday Programme he wanted to go and do this tag. I told him I knew where it was and would take him there. But we just never had the time. So Iain, this is for you mate.
This one was at Pourerere (a few years ago when the flat sand on the beach was rock hard all the way to the point I took my bike down and opened her up. Like Bonneville salt flats!!) so I recognised this straight away.

The building at end of the bridge should be familiar to all HB riders...
As I was riding to get here I came across 1/2 doz riders that came out from a side road. "Cool" I was thinking. I hang on and... But they left me in their dust. Initially I tried to glue on to their tail and sort of managed. But then I thought better of it and let them go. And considering that I have no cobwebs on me and my speed was close to loosing license material w/o them, I can only say that there was some good riders in that group!

Nice one Conquiztador! I know where the new one is but I'm a bit far away to get it at the moment.
I will hopefully get a new rear tyre and join in the fun again for a week after the 20th Feb when I get home.
