I'm liking the new style, glad to have the darkside back. Also great to have the user info above the post so on my mobile I can see who the author is without scrolling (using opera browser).
Ahh yes, you are correct 900kb. Pretty easy to reproduce the statistics. Just a tad under 900kb on the wire, and a tad over 500kb of actual payload data.

mate I'm sorry I really don't like the upgrade. But then I'm not a puter person.
    Issues from my POV
1)the wrighting has got bloody small (yea old fart fucked eyes)
    2) it uses 125% of my screen (17 inch flat screen)
    3) when I type a reply in the dark zone it doesn't show in the text box --ie I can't see what i'm "saying untill its posted.
    4) its hard one the eyeballs in light universe. (NOO please don't cast me into pink hell)

But yeah, if you could allow a bit more space for the member info this would help a bit more as both the date, bikes and location on mine wrap to the next lines.
I look at the join date all the time but I usually look on the profile. :P

Ok, correct me if I'm wrong. I just logged out and ended my connection on my mobile, then connected to the homepage. Browser said 58kb of transfer, ph said 62kb of transfer. I pretty much only use my phone (n95) for internet use and am on kb numerous times a day, plus other sites. And my browser shows normal websites, not stripped down mobile versions.

I love it! Each day I can see improvements! And the more I use it, the easier the navigation!

Thankyou for your time, effort and - no doubt money Mr Spank!

I used to use the Light Universe because it looked better.... The Dark side was just too dark.
Now I actually find the Dark Side is more pleasing on the eyes.... So I will be sticking to that.

Now, as for the "Join Date".... Is it just me or is it exactly where the "Post Date" used to be??
I have caught myself almost accusing people of Mega Tread Dredges at least a couple of times today!

Other than that, I am slowly getting used to the new features...

I just did the same thing on my Nokia E61i, and it reported around 521kb of data was downloaded.

I just asked Firefox on my laptop to save the content files. Just the graphic and CSS files come to 446 kb.

So that's three seperate sources I have giving me similar numbers.

Any chance your phone is set to not download the graphics? Or any chance you are using one of the content transformation APNs? I think the APN www.vodafone.net.nz with downsample the graphic files, and remove un-needed characters from web pages.

EDIT: Just checked my Nokia, and it is using the www.vodafone.net.nz APN.

+1. Working fine for me (with pictures turned on). Also using V3.5.6. Try the old "clear cookies, cache" etc standard support options.

+1 seems like a lot of time and effort which can only ever result in an increasing data usage/server load....

if this site is 900kb per page it's no wonder it's nearly unusable on slow connections (like the student wifi at uni and the 64k I usually have for the last days of the month....)

All graphics are showing up. Not too sure about these APNs you refer too. Access point (if that is what you mean) I use is vodafone internet, not gateway or any others. Obviously something is downsizing everything, however the page looks exactly the same as when I look at it on a computer. Don't know why you would need full sized images etc on a phone display so current setting works fine for all my internet needs.
