It was RICKSTA.... the 2nd time he went down it was against two trucks... didnt really have a choice but to head for the hills (fields)!!!!!

We had a good (mostly) uneventful drive back to Auckland on SH1

Great ride although had to split off at Ngaruwahia. Boring cruise back up SH1 (once I figured where that was).

Sorry to hear about Ricksta's offs. Need to invest in some armoured pants soon.

Hopefully the next one I can stay the whole day and note to self ...winter rides wear cordura not leathers

you guys went up sh1 also? fuck I should have waited for you. might have prefered the company that some dickhead calling me a bastard after I nearly killed myself.

I still dont know how I managed to control a fishtailing back wheel at 110k's to stopping.

maybe ive just found my natural talent
I only posted this because of the global economic crisis

Yeah... danb, ricksta, me and jeremy(?) ride back on SH1... I decided to come back that way because I didnt want to deal with all the twists and turns on SH22 again!

SH1 was a sweet easy cruise

Back home safe and sound. I am sure I am missing something though. Great ride, challenging road, and great company. Right knee slider took a beating too!

Great Ride. Thanks guys. Sorry had to leave mid day to Hammy. Had to meet someone there. Man, I am rusty from years of not riding. Need more riding practice.

Yes there were 5 acco's today........ thank God everyone walked away.

I'll let the respective riders tell their own story.

And I had a real hairy moment too when I sort of Target fixated on a seated HDTBoy ( stopped to show us direction ) and didn;t notice the tightening blind right corner ( I suck at right corners).... so had a hair raising moment.........

Along with my usual too late braking moments .....

But fingers crossed in 14 days when I get a one inch long piece of plastic tube from Japan that costs $15 I will get me rear brakes.......then we do the tuhwunty thoo again........ ......
