    Fuel line connector

I've seen in a magazine somewhere this connector you can put on your fuel line under your tank, so if you need to take your tank off you can un-snap the connection and it will automatically disconnect the fuel flow. saves you completely emptying your fuel tank if you need to take it off. Anyone know where i can get one? for that matter, anyone know what the hell I'm talking about?

    Cheers

I'd normally turn off the pet-cock and disconnect the hose from there if I rode a different type of bike...
But I have a Duc and it even has a tank stand and hinge!!!!

Should've known the first reply would've been from a Duke owner. The trouble is, Dukes come with their own hood-style tank because you have to spend so much time fixing them!

Doesn't your bike have a vacuum switch? I believe most/all modern bikes do
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I'm guessing you're talking abut the pingel quick disconnect system

so it doesn't have a fuel tap????

Ducs have a lifting tank so you can spin people out... I've never needed to actually do anything under there (exepct connect a light to the battery for a friend... and wire up my radar detector), but it's cool to show people

Sounds like it's cool to play with your cock too. GSXR has a hinge and stand also. I believe the SP1 does as well. Cool is not a tank stand, it is standing on the tank doing a wheelie.
    Get it right!

on a serious note I bought a couple of quick connectors for my zxr400
they do just as you described.
Only trouble is the friggin o rings are not the correct rubber for Kiwi petrol.
nett result after 3 uses the bloody o rings swelled up just when i diddnt need em to -theyre a great idea none the less

My gixxer is 89/91 model and is vacuum. Have had older bikes with as well. By 'modern' I mean less than 20yo. The tap on the gixxer has 3 hoses - 2 that feed 2 carbs each & a 3rd (smaller guage) that is the vacuum connector.
