After much discussion my wife and I decided that one of our rides must be sold. As I have just bought a new VStrom we decided to sell this one: It is only 1 hp, but very economical.

Sorry Trev, its only the horse. Stromfrau isn't included in the deal.
About 5 kmh cruise. Unless frightened by two motorcyclists (one Ducati and one Hyosung) in which case its about 30 kmh (vertically).
Hardly uses any fuel at all. Around 60 km per bale.
Time to ride
All my family is in horses - for the life of me I cannot understand why. They scare me like mad (the GG's not the family).
Fuel usage is the least of the worries - maintenance is more expensive than a bitter ex-wife.
I see you are running it naked. Does it still come with the factory fairings?
Is he used to pillion riders? Is he good at wheelies and stoppies?

At least by having purchaser buy the horse it will be looked after, have lost track of how many dad has given away, only for them to come back in bad condition, when asked the owner says didn't have time or paddock.Or new owner doesn't have experience with ex thoroubreds just out of work. Some have gone onto equestrian circles and performed ok,but they still get neglected at times.
Hello officer put it on my tab
Don't steal the government hates competition.
does it come with aftermarket pipes or the factory one. seriosly good luck with the sale and the new ride.
Screw fairings! How about a set of chain mail, a lance and barding? Maybe even a damsel in distress...
Oh nevermind, just remembered horses are animals. I'm allergic to animals.![]()

Actually, I think your estimate of the horsepwoer is pessimistic. Wikipedia says: "The peak power over a few seconds has been measured to be as high as 14.9 hp. However, for longer periods, an average horse produces less than one horsepower."
And: "A healthy human can produce up to 1.2 hp for a brief period."
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
How can a horse have less than 1 horse power? I thought that our current HP ratings were based on how many horses it took to equal that power. So a bike with a leaf blower engine producing 5hp would need 5 horses to do the same job.
Unless horses have growen weaker over time since the HP measurement was invented?
