    F/S 1988 CBR600 $2000

Ok, this is a sad tale...
my girlfriend put the hard word on me and I have to sell my bike. But my loss is your gain because it is an awesome machine and I'm letting it go for the bargain price of $2000!

It's done about 90000k's but a couple of owners back someone did it up and painted it. It looks cool, much cooler than a standard hurricane.

It goes really well too, I just rode it to hamilton and back and it didn't miss a beat and I was comfy all the way. It has a good seat and riding position for long distances. It cost me about $50 in fuel for that trip too, so it's not a big drinker.
Give me a PM if you want to come and check it out. all enquiries welcome

    I don't understand.

Your girlfriend doesn't like bikes ... so you're giving them up?

Or she just doesn't like this one?

What is she offering to give up that you don't like about her?

Be careful giving things up for women dude - that way lies danger...

What he said. Quite frankly it is rather difficult to get quite as satisfying a ride from a woman.

You can't get your knee down on a queen sized bed. You can hang off and do it, but it rather spoils the "moment".
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

    Noooo, not the bike!!

    Next it will be beer,

then it will be your friends,

    then she will leave,

    and you will have nothing.

    KEEP the bike mate!

don't worry fellas, it's not just cos she said so!
I actually got a $400 fine today for speeding *and* cos I don't actually have an NZ licence I can't ride my bike till I get my license anyway.
Soooo, I figured I officially qualified as an idiot and, since she told me I should sell it the first day I got it, I just thought I'd make her happy and sell it.
The licence thing is a saga in itself. You may remember I posted on here a while ago about changing a korean license into an NZ licence. Well it is possible to go from a korean licence straight to a full NZ licence, i just need to translate the korean license, sit a theory test and then sit the relevant practical test. I got the translation done on the korean licence so I was ready for the theory test but I never got around to it. And then I got the bike and I figured I would just ride sensibly. That was until today when I was very late for my mates presentation and I thought if I fanged it on the bike I could still make it.
I ended up cutting inside a mufti cop at a roundabout and she chased me all the way to Massey. Jeeesus, why didn't I think about mufti cops!!!
Next year when i have a job I'll get a bike again, my girlfriend is just worried cos she thinks I am wasting my money.
That ride to Hamilton I did was an absolute blast and i just love the feeling I get when I wave to other bikers and they wave back.

Well dude you won't be having fun when you sell that bike thats for sure. As for saying that you are wasting your money - you are!! Thats the beauty of fanging around on two wheels. Maybe you are making this whole story up it just can't be for real. I mean really, who gets so lucky as to getting chased by a female mufti cop - you have all in the fun. Tell you what I'm going to do to solve your problems, I'll give you $2000 for your girlfriend and you get to keep the bike, though you are still left with the ticket so lets make it a bargain deal at $1600!! Like the bike I hope she has a good seat and riding position for long distances, please post photos!! I think I will have to start an Aunty LED help thread soon..........

oh..... I can't wait till I get a few finances sorted... I reckon by the end of the year I'll be ready.

    I'm gonna by a "wheelie-bike"

    Definition:
1: Able to lift the front wheel on demand, and sustain said lift.
2: Able to be thrashed AND dropped with no psychological pain to the owner

(This looks like a good option, but it's not Dec yet )
