    Nope, still a work in progress. Going to be very touch and go, I have no experience with engine assembly so progress is slow but steady. Hopefully I can get the cases together tomorrow and put back in bike frame on monday.

    Standard valves but not sure why that is relevant? All the valves were fine.

    Yep standard retainers too, all of them were brand new (well 1 meeting old). None failed though. Valve clearances were all spot on.

    had something similar happen when I 450'd the zxr. The standard valves stretched then clipped the piston.Just wondered if maybnee yours did the same thing.

    Cheers man! Good progress today, just got cams to go. If I have done everything correctly I should have it running tomorrow!
