I don't know why it hasn't occured to some people that using the internet from work can mean after work, before work, or on your lunchbreak.

Thanks for the support in this thread, some idiot red-repped me with "My god what a prude" - Obviously they didn't read my initial post properly. I'm not having a cry, or waving an anti-porn flag, I just really don't want dirty pictures popping up on the screen when I'm in a place such as an internet cafe or at work. Hence why I asked if that sort of thing is common on here and if there were options to disable it. This doesn't make me a prude. Like I said initially, if I'm surfing the web at home then I don't particularly care.

Could really have done without the slagging off from people on this matter. Find that crap very off-putting, seriously what is with the hostility towards me for just asking a simple fucking question.

Well I just discovered that I can change my settings so I don't see signatures (you can also set it up so you don't see avatars either but since most users will indicate if their avatar has nudey bits I don't see it b/c of my settings)

it's not so much towards you, more about some other person feeling slightly inferior and need to put another down to make themselves feel better. it's classic school yard behaviour. don't let it get to you, it's not about you.
