The world will look up and shout "Save Us!", and I'll whisper "no"

Hopefully getting mum a film camera with lens and tripod. I think she wants to start taking up amatuer photography, and the shitty camera she has now is no good for taking zoom shots of birds (since the old one has no zoom!)

But that may not work out, waiting to hear. If not, err the usual I guess: Card, perfumes/soaps, and other girly stuff

Umm…no offence folks but I think this whole mother day thing is a big BS…a creation of our fricken capitalism world with only one thing in mind: Marketing.
As for me, I don’t need any mother’s day to do something good for my mom, or call or get her something. I’m doing it every week. My mom doesn’t wait for mother’s day hoping she will be treated specially…she is a mom and she should be treated that way every day of the year…

Now all mom might not be the same, but so far all the mom’s I know they are genuinely caring, so they are loved very much.

I find it real silly that there has to be a mother’s day to make people realize that oh! I gotta call my mom or get her something…It’s just superficial and hypocritical to me..

    Just my though…..

Im a bit stuck here, my mum has just moved to England so the usual chocs and flowers thing is kinda out of the question.

    4 days and counting....
My Mum is in the UK like yours - so I've sent her a card & will give her a call.
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.

My Mum's on the road somewhere between Melbourne and Perth. I guess it will have to be the trusty old e-card and a call to her mobile.

I was going to go out shopping tomorrow for something but funny enough I come home today and Dad has brought a foot spa bath which I owe him money for now without asking me - I say another piece of junk that will be to fiddly to use and get thrown up in the loft (Wonders why the ceiling is cracking ), dad will end up being the only one going to use it, or given to someone else. Have to give dad some credit for doing something like this as it’s a first but anyways I can never win.

I think Flowers, Chocolate and Card is the best option -Its Personal and it tastes good

That's what I think too - but now my mother has gone I realise all the opportunities I missed to be there or just say hi,she was a pretty good mum to me,it really hurts now to think I wasn't a very good son.
