    WTD: Spoiler Tags

Similar to the R18 tags I guess but can contain text. This would be excellent for those of us discussing the 2010 supercross without spoiling it for others who haven't seen it yet.

Similar functionality is available on numerous other sites.

How long after an event being held should the "spoiler" period apply?

If posters accurately describe the event being discussed in the subject line, then "spoiler" tags or other descriptors are surely pointless?

Its not so much a description of the event in the title, its the results of the race etc.

A user that has results to post etc encloses that information within a set of spoiler tags. Users that want to see the results can then uncover the results when they see fit by clicking on the spoiler. If you don't want to see the results then don't click on the spoiler. They don't ever expire.

This is only as good as the users though . However, most people cotton on pretty quickly.

Just 'clicked'. The use of spoiler tags some weeks after the event is probably overkill. Most people apply common sense. Most
