    '92 Suzuki Dr 250 or '93 Yamaha TT-R 250 or '98 Honda XR250R ?

Wasn't sure where to post this, so posted in the newbie section as well.

Ok so here's my reasoning behind this
    1. must be in or around Chch to view and test ride.
    2. between 3k and 4k, no more.
    3. want a duel purpose bike.
    4. must be 250cc

Which one would be the better bet, taking into account resale value, reliability, spares ect ect.
Have owned a CB750K and Z440 years ago in South Africa but want a bike to pass the license with.

    The Honda.
It's newer, done less k's and is stone reliable (as long as you give it oil and filters on a regular basis).

Buy the Honda now before someone else does. I'm guessing with low km's and roadie tyres fitted, is it may not have seen much dirt use (and abuse), go have a look ASAP, and give it the once over.

Honda does look good, just a little worried about the top end being done, but then I could look at it this way, I don't have to do the top end in a hurry.

The TTR would also be a great bike and has the advantage of electric start.

You can do far better for the money than the DR. TTR has knobbly tire which suggests owner has used it off road quite a bit. Despite only being kick start I'd take the XR as I know I can live with a kick start trail bike and of course lower KMs and road tires.
