Identify this bit of music please!

No prizes, just the satisfaction of being first with the correct answer.

I was watching TV a few minutes ago and there was a Vodafone advert that I hadn't seen before. Quite neat with a young guy packing up his flat, folding up all his possesions (including his girlfriend ) and sticking them in his pocket. Not bad, but I was really taken with the music which was sort of Ozarks country style. Haven't a clue what it was apart from the refrain was "ain't that the way it is" if I heard correctly.

Any ideas from the resident geniuses on KB?

Heard the music on the advert last night and did some searching. Charlie has an interesting website http://www.charlieparr.com/ with CDs available and sample tracks to check out. Live albums sound especially good

I've been in contact with Charlie regarding the shipping to NZ and by return email he is happy to ship at no extra charge - I feel a little guilty about taking advantage of that so will find a way of recompensing the man.

    Enjoy

Interesting guy all right. Yep, I did the free download of his concert from "Ed's Place" too. Some good music there.

Dunno but it's a good ad. Much better than the stupid gorilla and the drum kit.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Thank god you explained that one SD , i thought for a minute there you had lost it and was mimmicking everyone !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

I'm not normally a big country fan but bought the recent Alison Krauss/Robert Plant CD (which is country crossover I suppose) and enjoyed it. That prompted me to look at other Alison Krauss stuff on YouTube and I found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=It8d5Ct-QLU. What a stunning voice and what a beautiful-looking woman, sigh....

Whilst I was nosing about, I came across a Ricky Skaggs bluegrass/gospel number backed by the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mLJ1Zuj1sw . Man, that guy can sing!
