Yeah, I know where you're coming from. My bikes get max two washes a year: when both happen at the same time: it's raining and I'm stuck at home (it doesn't happen very often).

I tell you, washing a bike in the rain when you don't have a carport is very close to impossible, especially if you own a black bike. The actual washing is easy. The drying is a bich (people with black bikes know what I mean )

As for polishing, would that be the equivalent of scrubbing the floors or doing a general cleaning in the house like some persons of the feminine sex do when they are upsed/angry ?

C'mon 'fess up. What are you angry about?

You must have tons of time on your hands. That, or you're not riding much. If I were to keep my bike clean, I would have to properly wash it every night. I commute with it and at least once a week (if not two or three times) I go for a 2-300ks ride over in the Wairarapa. By the time I get back home, even it the road has been totally dry my bike is full of squashed bugs.

Then again... I'm a guy. For us guys the "inner beauty" counts more than the exterior

My Bonnie is a dirty girl & she loves it that way!
Chain lube all over the back guard usually, squashed bugs, road grine, brake dust you name it, shes probably wearing it

Once, a harley dick even told me I should be ashamed of myself fro letting my bike get so dirty. LOL
I was quite proud that day!!
I told him "shes a work horse, not a show pony"
