Biker responsible for vandalism in Wellington

Well it appears Rick Barker is claiming credit for this monstrosity...still perhaps we should reserve comment until the scaffolding comes off?

It actually looks great and they've done a nice job of the old building too.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Are they going to make a petting zoo on the roof?

It looks like a half-built multistory carpark...and that's being charitable.

All issues of taste and asthetic appreciation are governed by personal perceptions and opinion. I like it, and I like the job they did on the old building too.

Crocs == Pretentious jandals. So, given you like that building - what about it is pleasing? Which aspects of it makes you go ooh?

It looks to me like one of those things that just didn't work out in full scale the way it looked in the drawings.

To me it juts looks like a mish-mash of wires, spaghetti or something. Left-overs from construction.

It certainly doesn't evoke pohutikawa trees, to me.
Measure once, cut twice. Practice makes perfect.

I love the irony! They put barred windows on the supreme court to make everyone working in it feel like they are in prison! My personal test of architecture is whether it makes me laugh out loud when I first see it (like the Hundertwasser toilets in Kawakawa). The new supreme court building passes that test with flying colours.
There is no such thing as bad weather; only inappropriate clothing!

I'm with JD, I like it
I didn't know it was pohutukawa inspired but definitely saw a nice subtle tree effect in the pattern.
If we left the design up to you guys it would probably end up looking like a Skyline Gottage.
