I regularly used to wear a Versace or Valentino or Armani shirt to work on dress down Friday when I worked in Ponsnobby. coupled with a pair of well tailored designer jeans and a nice pair of Portuguese or Italian shoes I looked rather smart. Weekdays would see me with a YSL shirt or Ralph Lauren shirt coupled with an Armani or Saville Row suit (depending on mood). As for the 'laid back kiwi lifestyle' I have yet to find it - poor salariescoupled with high house prices and ridiculous interest rates mean I am constantly stressed and short of cash - torn between keeping a roof over my head or food in my children's bellies. I agree with the blogger. Given a choice - I wouldn't live here either.
